My Experiences at Camp Kumbaya

From the time we loaded onto the vans, the Jr. youth campers were excited. The excitement soon turned to questions like “Are we there yet?” and “Can we stop at McDonalds?” Never the less we arrived at Kamp Kumbuya and checked in. The Church services were awesome. Even though they were younger, the campers all had a desire for Bro. Adelbert Adcock to preach the word of the Lord to them. Several children received the Holy Ghost for the first time, including one of our boys, Ethan Boleware.

Not everything was spiritual. The kids enjoyed playing baseball and when the heat got to be unbearable they retreated to the gym or cafeteria for drinks and snacks. Soon water balloons filled the air and most kids stayed soaking wet for a good portion of the day. At night, junk food, sodas, pillow fights and shaving cream filled the dorms.

It was an awesome time.
