We here at PGPC have taken on a burden for a bus ministry for children. We are now going out on Sunday mornings and picking up children for Sunday School. The children are getting to experience Sunday School in our new Sunday School facility as well as receiving an opportunity to learn about Jesus Christ.
We have had 3 riding the bus for over 2 months now. This past Saturday we went out to find other children. We found 5 more. We now have 8 that are being taught biblical lessons that might not have had the opportunity before.
If you know a child close to the church that would like this opportunity, please contact us at (601) 625-7908 ext. 117.

Outreach was at 6:00 pm today. We are going "fishing" for bible studies. We meet in the church sanctuary and discuss the burden that we all all have to meet people that are wanting to learn more about the Bible.
We loaded up into 2 vans and go to Philadelphia. 1 van goes to Walmart and the other to Dirt Cheap.
It had been a while since we have did this, so we were all a little nervous. Everyone agreed that after we talked to a couple of people, it was really fun.
I personally saw people that I knew and that I thought would never want a bible study, gladly say yes. After we called and scheduled them they were still excited.
We returned back to the church and counted the bible studies. There were 33 that said they would like one.
Thank you God for leading us to hungry people. Without you we could do nothing but fail.

Today, on Outreach, we grabbed some of our Vacation Bible School (VBS) flyers and headed out. Everyone was instructed to look for houses that had signs of children (toys, trampolines, mud pies, etc.).
We stopped first at Piggly Wiggly. Everyone hopped out and started passing out invitations. One guy stopped me and said that he received all of our flyers in the mail and he thought we were doing a great job.
After stopping at several houses, we drove by a house that had 4 children in the yard. We turned around and talked to the mother and we invited them to VBS. As we were getting back in the van, one of the little boys told us to hang on. So a couple of our girls stood outside and watched them jumping in the grass. When the boy got up, he walked over to Margie and said, "Here, this is for you." It was a cricket. Margie took and said, "Thank you." We hope to see them at VBS.

This week on Outreach, we had a fishing expedition scheduled; we were fishing for souls. We were scheduled to meet at the church at 12pm, leave and start surveying. So, we got to Philadelphia, parked the van and jumped out to a cold and windy afternoon. Everyone we saw was bundled up. It really wasn't this cold and windy when we left the church.
Everyone jumped back in the van to regroup. We improvised. Everyone grabbed a handful of church cards, got back out, and started handing them out or putting them on windshields. After freezing ourselves, we loaded back up and headed back home.
We shall return . . . survey cards in hand.

Friend's Sunday's turnout was unbelievable. About thirty minutes before service, we started seeing guest walk in. Everyone was so excited. By the time service had started there were about ninety guests. Fifteen minutes later more started coming in. The final count of guest was one hundred and seventeen.
Bro. Tim Copeland preached and did an outstanding job, as always. Several guest have already requested copies of the message.
After service, everyone went to the school and was served lunch catered by Walnut Grove Fish House. It was delicious. What a time we had fellowshipping with our friend's this past Sunday.
We would like our guest to know that they made our day, and we were thrilled that they joined us in service.
Thank you to everyone who invited someone, knocked on doors, passed out flyers, etc. Your hard work paid off.

We went out 1 last time to tell to invite guest to Friend's Sunday, which will be tomorrow. We grabbed about 600-700 "Friend's Sunday" cards and jumped in two vans and headed out. We went to several houses that we wanted to make sure they got an invitation, people that we had met and told about it (just a reminder).
Then we went to the "The Car Wash". I handed a lady a card and she laughed and said, "I'm a mail carrier and I've seen thousands of these already". She was very nice and said we were doing a great job. I look forward to seeing her tomorrow.
We went to Piggly Wiggly and the
