Tuesday Night Youth Prayer: A Burden

There was such a sweet presence of the Lord at PGPC last night. Every young person was reaching out to God. You could feel that the Lord was placing a burden in our hearts.

Bro. Forsythe taught a lesson on reaching out to those that are lost. He made us think in the past year of all the young people that had given up on living for God. He encouraged us to get into the habit of praying and fasting for each one of these people. We closed with prayer. We pray that God gives us all a burden to win souls.

We also discussed fundraisers and upcoming trips. We are so excited and can't wait to put all these ideas into action. God is Awesome!

Back to School Youth Revival 2010

Two words describe this Youth Revival.....LIFE CHANGING! If you left unchange, then you did not give God 100%.

What an awesome time in the Holy Ghost! We had many first time visitors and youth groups from around the area. The choir did an awesome job both nights by bringing the fire down.

Bro. Steve Pixler preached an annointed message both nights on "Walking on the Water" (Part 1 & 2). He reminded us that this walk of life was not going to always be easy. God, at some point, will take us to a storm and reminds us that we will reach the other side, if we just learn to step out of the boat and walk on the water.  The altars were full thursday and friday night. Young people wept, cried, shouted and danced around the altars.

After service, the youth group of PGPC held a fundraiser, selling hot dogs and pizza. Friends were made and phone numbers exchanged. Some were playing basketball, and some were playing volleyball, but to really get into the spirit most were playing ping pong. I believe Bro. Davidson and Corey played till about 1:00am the next morning.

We love our young people and hope that they all took something home that will help them to make it through their storm.

Youth Night: Ice Breaker

Pizza plus volleyball, ping pong, and an awesome youth group..... equals tons of fun. The young people arrived around 7:30pm. It was such a joy to see each face as they walked in the door. Around 8:00pm, the young people enjoyed probably one of their favorite meals....PIZZA!

Next was discussion time. We talk about our goals and visions for the youth group. Fundraisers and trips were definitely topics of discussion. They all had such great ideas. We are excited about things to come.

Everyone enjoyed games of volleyball and ping pong. We had such an awesome time.

When everyone is together, it's like one big family. There is a love and a bond that you can't find just anywhere. God has truely blessed us to be able to work with an amazing group of young people!

Sis. Sabrina's Birthday Party

What an awesome way to celebrate a birthday....at the Fish House. Great food! The youth group filled up the banquet room. We were all so excited to be able to share this special moment with Sis. Sabrina. After an amazing meal, we all gathered around the cake table to watch Sis. Sabrina blow out her "trick" candles....eventually we had to toss the candles into water. The birthday cake was homemade strawberry cake....mmmmm good! Such an awesome time of fellowship!

We love you Sis. Sabrina,

Youth Rally: Tylertown, MS

Friday was our first night out with the PGPC youth group, as newly appointed Youth Pastor. What an awesome time with this amazing group of young people. We loaded up the bus around 5:00pm and headed to Tylertown, MS for a Youth Rally. Bro. Adams from Memphis, TN preached a much needed message on "The Biblical Principles of Choosing a Spouse". The young people really enjoyed the service. Afterwards, we all made our way to the fellowship hall where pizza and drinks were served. We had lots of laughs, and took many pictures. Some of the young people went outside to play volleyball and football. It was getting late so we decided to head back home, we got about 5 mins down the road when we realized we had left Daniel Nunez.....what a great start as youth pastor!

Finally, with everyone counted for, we headed back home to Sebastopol, MS. On the way we realized what an awesome youth group we have inherited, thanks to great Youth Pastor Bro. and Sis. Parker, and a dedicated youth committee. We are so blessed to be here and to be able to work with an awesome group.

PEAK - Youth Trip

Tuesday night, after church, we hopped on the bus and headed down the road for a 10 hour drive to Tulsa, OK. Sis. Deanna Hillman was our drive and did a wonderful job. Everyone was so excited about the trip that no one cared what time it was. As the night went on hairdos started coming down, clothes started to get wrinkled and no one really cared. Everyone was begging for a comfortable bed.

Title: He Made My Day

This Is The Day Which The Lord Hath Made; We Will Rejoice And Be Glad In

Scripture: Psalms 118:19-24

After Service Fellowship: We went to IHOP and most of us got to eat. Some never got there order taken because it was so busy. We all had fun anyway.

Sr Youth Camp

Our youth group appeared tired Tuesday morning to load thier luggage and depart for senior camp. Once we arrived at the camp and went through the regular camp routine of unloading luggage, making up beds, and meeting new people, excitement was beginning to settle in. "This is youth camp 2010," some of us said, "Let's make the best of it." And so we did. Days were spent fellowshipping and playing ball, (unless of course you were Olivia or Lauren, who's popularity in 'hair styling' grew, and were steadily called upon to fix countless camper's hair).

The Services:

The morning services were amazing with annointed preachers such as Bro Patrick, Bro Tiptin, Bro Martin,  Bro Copeland, Bro Pullen and  Bro Johnson. In the evening services we were blessed with the annointed preaching of Bro. Cody Marks. The services were nothing "normal" for a youth camp.

Upon leaving Saturday morning the campers found themselves exhausted from the long week at camp, but also saddened to have to leave all the "camp friends" they had made along the way. Many picture were taken, many phone numbers exchanged, and many memories made that are sure to last a life time.
