| PEAK - Youth Trip |
|
Tuesday night, after church, we hopped on the bus and headed down the road for a 10 hour drive to Tulsa, OK. Sis. Deanna Hillman was our drive and did a wonderful job. Everyone was so excited about the trip that no one cared what time it was. As the night went on hairdos started coming down, clothes started to get wrinkled and no one really cared. Everyone was begging for a comfortable bed.
Schedule of the Trip
---Wednesday Night---
Speaker: Tim Pixler Title: He Made My Day This Is The Day Which The Lord Hath Made; We Will Rejoice And Be Glad In Scripture: Psalms 118:19-24
After Service Fellowship: We went to IHOP and most of us got to eat. Some never got there order taken because it was so busy. We all had fun anyway.
---Thursday Morning--- Speaker: Bro. Wesley Jackson Title: Will We Continue To Provoke Or Will We Begin To Posses Scripture: Numbers 14:11, Deuteronomy 1:3,6,8 2:3
After Service Fellowship: We found a mall that had an El Chico (It's been a long time since we saw an El Chico). Some went to the food court. We shopped for about and hour and 45 minutes and back to the rooms to get ready for the night service.
---Thursday Night---
Speaker: Rev. Ron Tiller Title: The Test Of The Arrows (Requirements For Complete Victory) Scripture: 2 Kings 13:14-19
After service fellowship: We went to a lock-in at the Union Multipurpose Activity Center (UMAC). They had 3 basketball full courts and 1 volley ball court. We all ate pizza and chips. When it was time to go, everyone was looking for their beds, but back at the room most seen just how long they could stay up and torture the others in their room. Let's not forget the prank calls to the other rooms in our group.
---Friday Morning---
Speaker: Rev. Steve Buxton Scripture: Ezekiel 22:23-30
After service fellowship: We decided to try a different mall. As soon as we got there, "Where is the food court?" We found it. They had a Cajun restaurant, chinese restaurant, and a SONIC. We shopped and then to the rooms to get ready.
---Friday Night---
Speaker: Rev. Cody Marks Scripture: Psalms 127:1-5, Matthew 16:18
After service fellowship: Another lock-In: This time we went to "Incredible Pizza". There was skee ball, putt-putt, bumper cars, race cars, video games and PIZZA. There was a buffet of all kinds of pizza.
So far, we haven't mentioned what happened in the services. We had fun the whole trip, but if there was something that you wouldn't have liked about it, the services were the redeeming quality. Every service was directed by God. This is not just something I say to make this article sound like it is supposed to sound. Every message was right-on-time. Every service and message build on the previous ones until Bro. Cody Marks finished and the power of God Almighty fell all over the place. Chairs were pushed out of the way, everyone was worshiping. Preacher's sons got together to pray for each other, as well as, preacher's daughters in another group. It was truly and UNBELIEVABLE night.
We can't wait to see what God has in store for us now, back at home. |
